The new Lynx Motors Workshop
Lynx Motors are very proud to now be based in Coventry in the old Abbey Panels building, having recently returned to the U.K. as part of a brand relaunch under new management – returning to the heart of the Midlands where most of the very best engineers and coach builders are based.
It was a logical step to base Lynx Motors in the Abbey Panels building which is steeped in coach building and car manufacturing history. The building was the home to Jaguar for many years up until fairly recently and where the Jaguar 220’s were produced by Abbey Panels. Along with more historical Jaguars and indeed the Jaguar E-type Panels were also manufactured in the same building at one time.
This was also a great opportunity for Lynx Motors to base the business alongside world renown Coventry MetalCraft. This was a strategic decision and not just a great base to re-establish Lynx Motors in terms of history, but we are able to form a close working partnership with probably the best coach builders in the country. Coventry MetalCraft will initially be manufacturing all the bodies for a new run of Lynx XKSS’s but also the very exciting Lynx Predator project.
The new workshop facility allows Lynx Motors to manufacture bespoke cars to the very highest standard and to be produced by some of the best craftsmen in the country – possibly the world – is a wonderful new milestone for the company with such rich history.
During the build process we would actively encourage our customers to visit this amazing location and oversee the build of their own personal Lynx Motors car. Alternatively updates on a build progress can be forwarded electronically. As all Lynx cars are hand built our team will lead you through the build process step-by-step – ensuring the customer is updated at all times on how your own Lynx car is developing.
